The Christmas Cookies Kourtney Kardashian Makes Every Year

Desserts are a hallmark of the holiday season. While you can indulge in cakes, pies, fudge, or pastries, there's probably no treat as festive as Christmas cookies. Whether you bake them using Grandma's favorite recipe or try a new idea from coworkers or friends, homemade cookies are one of the highlights of coming together at Christmastime. There are tons of varieties popular this time of year as well: Gingerbread men, chocolate crinkle cookies, sugar cookies, peanut butter blossoms, and snickerdoodles, to name a few. According to YouGov, the most popular Christmas cookie in the U.S. is the perennial chocolate chip, followed by sugar cookies and fudge.

Even celebrities love to partake in this annual Christmas cookie tradition. Michelle Obama loves baking up some classic shortbread cookies (via Insider). Taylor Swift is a fan of the more unique chai eggnog cookies. And as for the Kardashians? Kourtney Kardashian recently revealed the cookie recipe her family can't get enough of around the holidays. Here's her favorite sweet treat, and how you can make it yourself.

The Kardashian family loves Kourtney's gingersnaps

As a reality star, founder of Poosh (a lifestyle website), and mama of three little ones, Kourtney Kardashian is a busy woman. But, she still makes time to bake cookies with her kiddos during the holiday season. "Gingersnaps are a classic I make with the kids every year around Christmas," she said (via People Magazine), adding that the cookies are "a total crowd-pleaser at holiday parties." Kourtney also shared her family's recipe on her app, so you can bake the gingersnaps yourself for a Kardashian-inspired Christmas (via InStyle). What sets her cookies apart from others? They're both dairy- and gluten-free and are made with cage-free eggs and organic ingredients for a healthier twist on the traditional treat.

Gingersnaps aren't the only cookies that Kourtney loves to indulge in from time to time, however. On a recent podcast, she confessed to eating "eight chocolate chip cookies a day" during quarantine (via The Sun). She also previously posted to Instagram about her love of Samoas, the chocolate, coconut, and caramel Girl Scout Cookies that so many people are obsessed with (via Fansided).
