It really is a shame Henrik Lundqvist had to cut his career short due to his heart issues. However, he seems to be having a ton of fun in his new role as an in-studio analyst for the MSG Network. With the role, he's doing a bit of a promotional tour, including some interviews with various outlets. In an interview with Sport24.ru, the four-time All-Star and Vezina Trophy winner was asked who he believes is the best goalie in the world right now.

Lundqvist started by saying he believes fellow Swede Jacob Markstrom of the Calgary Flames, who is having a fantastic season, is well up there right now. However, he ultimately has to go with Andrei Vasilevskiy.

"I'm a big fan of Vasilevskiy," said Lundqvist. "I think I'll stick with Vasilevskiy."

While all of this is subject to opinion, it's tough to argue with that choice. Vasilevskiy is a two-time Stanley Cup champion, a Vezina Trophy winner and a recipient of the Conn Smythe. He's made the NHL's All-Star game on four different occasions and is showing no sign of slowing down yet.

Lundqvist was also asked about current Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin and the fact that Shesterkin named Lundqvist as his childhood idol.

"Yes, he told me that himself when we met. It was very pleasant. I'm a little embarrassed to say that I was someone's idol, but it was true."
