Brunch is the latest food trend that has proven it's here to stay.

Up For Brunch will be able to fulfill your need for casual, fun vibes with upscale food.

It's fresh on the scene, only being open less than a week and the response has already been overwhelming. Last weekend they had an unexpected amount of customers and hope that momentum keeps going.

Custom artwork on the walls add a fun flair to this cozy dining area.

While the owners wish to remain anonymous, front-of-house manager Maddy Williams is happy to take on the role of the face to patrons. This relaxed-fit style restaurant gives off easy southern California vibes with its bright and cheery yellow walls adorned with custom murals painted by local artist Kalandra Jones. It also gives customers the perfect Instagram moment with a huge wall that looks like a grass hedge with a neon sign sporting the restaurant's name. Their patio is the perfect spot to sit outside and sip on mimosas while enjoying the weather.

The Kings Hwy area is in a transitional phase with lots of remodeling of older buildings and new businesses, like Up for Brunch, breathing new life into it.

"We are trying to bring this side of town up, " says Williams. "We just want to elevate it."

The menu is what you can expect of a classic brunch spot, but a little punchier. With options like their unique and signature brunch roll - a crispy egg roll filled with eggs, cheese, veggies or meat.

French Toast with a maple butter glaze and powdered sugar, scrambled eggs with bacon and country potatoes are some of the classic dishes you can enjoy.

Also, try a Cajun catfish and cheese grits with a cream sauce. Other classic staples can be enjoyed like Belgian waffles, French toast, a skillet scramble or omelets. Not to mention being able to enjoy a classic Bloody Mary or different flavored mimosas.

Chef Chaye Bridges has been active in the kitchen since she was 7 and graduated from Bossier Parish Community College. She credits her grandmothers for her creativity in the kitchen and the love she has for making people happy through food.

Up for Brunch is located at 125 Kings Hwy and is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. Curbside pick-up is also available. You can order online and find out more about them at their website
