Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is getting a Switch port

Kingdoms of Amalur fans have been waiting for a long time for that new expansion to materialise and now it's just around the corner.

THQ Nordic announced that Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is getting the Fatesworn expansion on December 14, 2021. This was fairly unexpected and the announcement virtually came out of the blue but those who have been waiting for more KoA content are undoubtedly going to be happy.

According to the official descriptions so far, the new land will be filled with snowy tundras, deep caverns and treacherous enemies. No on really expected non-treacherous enemies but knowing we are getting a mountainous biome is certainly something new.

In this expansion, players will take on the Niskaru and their Chaos allies as they venture through procedurally generated dungeons. This can be a double-edged sword because it will either add a ton of replayability or grinding chores that may not necessarily be fun, with just minimal alterations between each run.

Visiting the new city of Crownhold will give players an opportunity to grab the unstable power of Chaos because already controlling the power of Fate is apparently not enough.

One more interesting detail is that Fatesworn DLC will increase the level cap to 50, allowing players to grab even more skills for combos that were not tested out before.

The wording on the official announcement  suggests this expansion takes place after the main storyline had been concluded so if you have a high level character lying around, this will be the perfect adventure for them.
