ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- Two people are dead and two are critically injured after a car crashed into multiple buildings early Friday morning in Escambia County.
It happened around 3 a.m. in the 100-block Beverly Parkway near The Vape Shop of Pensacola.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the car was traveling west on Beverly Pkwy. approaching Cary Memorial Drive when "it crossed over into the eastbound lanes and continued to the left shoulder of the roadway where it collided with two buildings and came to final rest inside the second building, on its right side."
The fatal victims are a 21-year-old Pensacola man and 22-year-old Pensacola man. Both were passengers in the car. A third passenger -- a 27-year-old Pensacola man -- is hospitalized in critical condition.
FHP says the driver is also in critical condition in the hospital, although troopers are still working to identify this person.
No further details have been released.
