A Classic Survival Horror Is Completely Free To Download, For A Limited Time

A Dead good deal

The classic multiplayer horror game Dead By Daylight is completely free to download right now for a limited time. Behaviour Interactive's asymmetric fright-fest is heaps of scary fun, and well worth checking out if you haven't already.

Fortunately, you can do so now for the low price of nothing at all. You need only head to the Epic Games Store, where it's currently 100% off until December 9. Obviously this offer does only apply to PC gamers, although it's worth pointing out that anyone can download and claim Epic's weekly freebies. Even if you don't currently have a PC that can play these titles, you might as well claim them for the potential day you do, right?

Take a look at Dead By Daylight in action below!

For those not in the know, Dead By Daylight is a one-versus-four multiplayer game in which one player takes on the role of a brutal killer. The other four players must work together to prevent the killer from hunting them down and picking them off, though this is quite often easier said than done.

"Survivors play in third-person and have the advantage of better situational awareness," Behaviour explains. "The Killer plays in first-person and is more focused on their prey. The Survivors' goal in each encounter is to escape the Killing Ground without getting caught by the Killer - something that sounds easier than it is, especially when the environment changes every time you play."

Dead By Daylight offers a range of killers that span original creations to familiar faces. The likes of Pyramid Head, Freddy Kreuger, Jason Voorhees, and Ghost Face have all been added to the game in recent years. It should be noted, however, that Epic is only offering the base game for free. Any iconic horror characters you might want, you'll have to pay extra for. Still, paying nothing for the base game means more money to spend on the big guns, yeah? Yeah.
