Tottenham bounced back from the humiliation at Mura in the Europa Conference League to gain three valuable points against Brentford at the Tottenham Stadium last night and one player stood out for Spurs.

Young Oliver Skipp put in a brilliant performance for the entire game and has rightly been applauded by the Tottenham faithful.

The 21-year-old was named the man of the match and came in for special praise from manager Antonio Conte.

Tottenham fans took to Twitter last night and this morning to record their comments on the young man and the vast majority of them were in agreement, he fully deserved the man of the match award.

Here are just a sample of the positive reactions from the Tottenham fans.

There were many more responses in the same vein and while it was “just” Brentford, it was still a massive improvement to some of the dross we have been served up in recent weeks and hopefully, the lads can keep up the momentum and claim another three points at the weekend against struggling Norwich City.
