Alert on the few occasions he was required.Mpontshane pulled off a stunning save to deny Nhlanhla Mgaga after the restart as he enjoyed a fairly comfortable night in goal.

Siyabonga Mpontshane - 6/10

Seemed to lack confidence on the ball during his time on the pitch.Shandu was unsurprisingly replaced by Kwanda Mngonyama at half-time and the latter played much better in the right-back position.

Bandile Shandu - 5/10

Outshone Shandu on the right. Mako provided more energy, directness and attacking sprints on the left flank, while also delivering some good crosses for his teammates.

Paseka Mako -  7/10

Wasn't tested in the match as he continues to captain Bucs in Happy Jele's absence. Baroka launched most of their attacks in the wings and Nyauza had a lot of time to drift further forward and push for Bucs' cause.

Ntsikelelo Nyauza - 6/10

Did well to contain Evidence Makgopa.Ndah won their aerial and ground battles, while also being a threat when pushing forward as his long pass sent Deon Hotto through on goal, but he missed the target.

Olisa Ndah - 7/10

Arguably the most in-form Pirates player at the moment.Motshwari was key to impeding Baroka attacking movements, reading the game brilliantly, while also pushing forward which saw him force goalkeeper Oscarine Masuluke into a great save.

Ben Motshwari - 7,5/10 

Didn't do much wrong in midfield as a box-to-box midfielder.However, Makaringe's passes and shots were wayward at times and he was substituted towards the end of the game.

Fortune Makaringe - 6/10

A quiet night at the office for the experienced attacker.Mntambo, who has been one of Pirates' best players in recent matches, struggled to make an impact with Baroka doing well to contain him until he was substituted.

Linda Mntambo - 5/10 

Another key attacker who failed to make an impact.Hotto missed a sitter after rounding Masuluke in the first half and he didn't threaten Baroka thereafter.

Deon Hotto - 5/10 

Looked keen to impress against his former employers.Makgaka was a bright spark for Pirates with his energetic runs and ball control, but he couldn't create chances for his teammates or test Masuluke.

Collins Makgaka - 6/10 

Started well as he held up the ball, and laid it off to other players.However, Peprah's impact waned as the game progressed and he was substituted at half-time.

Kwame Peprah - 6/10

Came on prior to the start of the second half and spent most of his time in the visitors' half combining well with his teammates and playing some good crosses.

Kwanda Mngonyama - 6/10

Subbed to bolster Pirates' attack at half-time, but he failed to impress as Baroka did well to cut the supply from the wings and he looked frustrated up front.

Tshegofatso Mabasa - 5/10 

Almost made an immediate impact by getting close to scoring right after coming on in the 63rd minute, but fell silent thereafter.

Kabelo Dlamini - 5/10

Introduced in the 77th minute and he made a few touches of the ball near the centre circle and never troubled Baroka.

Boitumelo Radiopane - 5/10

Had little time to make an impact as he came on in the 89th minute.
