Strikeout! Kelly Clarkson has been eager to play the field since she was officially declared single two months ago, but she’s yet to make a meaningful connection, spills a source.
Clarkson, 39, who split from her husband of six years, Brandon Blackstock, in June 2020, “has been putting herself out there, but there’s been no spark at all,” dishes the source.
While the mom of two [River Rose, 7, and Remington, 5] had no trouble meeting men when she was younger, “it’s a whole different game now that Kelly’s a huge star and has a family,” the source explains. Making matters worse, Blackstock, 44, “seems to be having no trouble attracting the ladies, and she’s envious."
While Clarkson isn’t taking her friends’ advice to get on a dating app just yet, “she has been asking them to discreetly set her up, but she’s had zero success there too,” the source adds. “She’s getting more frustrated by the day. All she wants is somebody to have a good time with and a little romance in her life.”
The "Because Of You" songstress cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the former flames' divorce, with OK! learning Clarkson felt used by Blackstock for her fame and lavish living. “She could no longer trust Brandon, and she felt that Brandon was just using her for her money and lifestyle,” spilled a source. “She had tremendous resentment toward him."
And while their nasty divorce proceedings have finally come to an end, Clarkson is not ready to play nice with her ex. The music manager “is urging Kelly to put aside their differences and celebrate the holidays together with their kids," but “she has zero desire to be on civil terms with him," claimed a source.
OK! reported the The Voice was granted primary custody of their kiddos, and the judge denied Blackstock's request to nullify their prenup, meaning Clarkson was allowed to keep what was rightfully hers. Since the judge ruled in the "Stronger" performer's favor, she was also entitled to the lavish Montana ranch Blackstock resided in throughout their divorce, in addition to two other properties.
