KIRO Radio adds a new complement to its afternoon programming. ‘John Curley and Shari Elliker’ begins Thursday, Dec. 2, airing weekdays 3-7 p.m.

The announcement follows the retirement of Tom Tangney from the now former Tom and Curley Show.

‘John Curley and Shari Elliker’ will feature live news, traffic, and weather updates at the beginning and end of every hour from KIRO Radio’s award-winning news team and CBS News.

“We’re thrilled for this next chapter on KIRO Radio,” said Cathy Cangiano, SVP/market manager for Bonneville Seattle. “We think John and Shari will connect with our audience in a compelling and entertaining way and help Bonneville Seattle continue as the Pacific Northwest’s media choice.”

Shari Elliker will be a familiar voice for regular Tom and Curley listeners: She has cohosted the show Fridays since January 2021.

Prior to joining KIRO, Shari hosted WBAL Baltimore, XM Radio, WHFS and WUSA in Washington D.C. She received “Outstanding Talk Show” awards from the Associated Press in 2007 and 2008, along with two “Achievement in Radio” awards.

John Curley has been with KIRO Radio for a decade, hosting the Tom and Curley Show since 2013. Prior, John was an Emmy Award winning television host.

“We’re really excited about this new show,” said Bryan Buckalew, KIRO Radio program director. “John and Shari have great chemistry. They’re fun to listen to and really complement KIRO Radio’s continued commitment to delivering the most important local news every weekday afternoon.”

Listen to the John Curley and Shari Show weekday afternoons from 3 – 7 p.m. on KIRO Radio, 97.3 FM.
