Police said a man entered the Sariling Atin grocery store in Elmhurst on Nov. 20 at around 8:05 p.m. and went behind the register counter while no one was there.

Cops said that's when the suspect removed $72,000 in cash from a cabinet and left the store.

The man walked around the corner, removed his mask and sweatshirt to hide the money inside of and fled in a Nissan SUV, police said.

Authorities said no injuries have been reported from the incident.

The man was last seen wearing a multicolored sweatshirt, gray t-shirt, gray sweatpants and dark colored sneakers, according to police.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
