A Longmont resident reported an auto theft Wednesday in the 2200 block of East Ken Pratt Boulevard. There are no investigative leads or suspect information at this time.

Longmont officers on Tuesday were dispatched to the 800 block of South Main Street for an attempted motor vehicle theft.

On Wednesday, Longmont police responded to the 1100 block of Martin Drive in reference to a stolen vehicle. A man was taken into custody, and the vehicle was recovered.

Longmont police on Wednesday investigated a report of a sex assault on a child that occurred in the 1600 block of Great Western Drive about 10 years ago.

A Longmont officer responded Wednesday to the Walmart at 2285 E. Ken Pratt Blvd. in reference to a shoplift. A girl was issued a summons for theft and was released to her parent.

Longmont officers Wednesday contacted a man in the 1900 block of Collyer Street in reference to a parks violation. The man fled on a bicycle and was later apprehended in the area of 15th Avenue and Emery Street. The man gave false information to law enforcement and was found to have numerous warrants.

Longmont police were dispatched to the 600 block of Boston Avenue on Monday for a menacing when an unknown man pulled a gun on someone sitting in their vehicle. The suspect was last seen leaving the area in the victim’s vehicle.

On Tuesday, Longmont police received a report of a possible kidnapping of a female juvenile. A woman reported her daughter had been taken without her consent by a couple she had a relationship with. The child was located in the care of the couple and was returned to her mother. It was determined that there is pending litigation regarding custodial rights over the child.
