The holidays wouldn’t feel complete without Kevin McCallister, better known as the world’s most clever 8-year-old in Home Alone.

For years, we’ve watched him outsmart two dimwitted bandits with everything from paint buckets to blow torches—all while sporting his signature ear-to-ear grin. But now, over three decades later, the character is all grown up. And we’re curious to know: Where is the Home Alone cast now?

1. Macaulay Culkin

  • Best known for: The Righteous Gemstones, American Horror Story, The Jim Gaffigan Show

The iconic role made him one of the biggest child actors of the ’90s—but his success didn’t stop there. After working on the first two Home Alone films, he went on to star in movies like The Good Son, Foster Hall, Saved! and Party Monster. Culkin also guest starred in a number of TV shows, like Frasier, Will & Grace and Kings. Most recently, he appeared on the small screen as Mickey in American Horror Story: Double Feature.

Aside from landing several acting gigs, Culkin also launched a comedy brand, Bunny Ears, back in 2017. The 43-year-old is now engaged to Disney Channel alum Brenda Song, with whom he shares two children.

2. Joe Pesci

  • Character: Harry Lime
  • Best known for: Goodfellas, My Cousin Vinny, Raging Bull

The Academy Award winner has quite an impressive resume. After his short music career during the '60s, Pesci turned to comedy, performing as part of Vincent and Pesci before venturing into film. Shortly after his stellar performance in Goodfellas, he snagged his role as the hot-tempered con artist in Home Alone.

After doing the Home Alone sequel, Pesci released his third album, called “Pesci... Still Singing,” and appeared in 12 more movies, including the 2023 drama film, Day of the Fight. The actor announced his retirement from acting in 1999, but has since returned to star in a few films, including The Irishman and Day of the Fight. (Perhaps he'll return to the big screen for another Oscar-worthy role.)

3. Daniel Stern

  • Character: Marv Merchants
  • Best known for: City Slickers, Breaking Away, Stardust Memories, Diner

Unlike his character, Stern has plenty of accomplishments under his belt. After he returned for Home Alone 2, the actor continued his gig as the narrator of The Wonder Years. A few years later, he made his directorial debut with the 1993 sports comedy, Rookie of the Year.

Over the next two decades, Stern took on more movie roles and did voiceover work for titles like Dilbert, Hey Arnold! and Family Guy. He also guest starred in dozens of TV shows, including Monk, House of Lies, Shrill and more. Fans can expect to see him headline his upcoming film, Everything's Peachy, which he also wrote and directed.

4. Catherine O'Hara

  • Character: Kate McCallister
  • Best known for: Schitt’s CreekAfter HoursBeetlejuice, Pain Hustlers 

Fans did a double-take after discovering that Moira Rose from Schitt’s Creek was also Kevin's frazzled mom in Home Alone. In response to the frenzy, she told The Guardian, “Wasn’t that funny? It was fun to read the comments online but really, I never think of anyone knowing me from anything.”

The Emmy Award-winning actress, who’d already made a name for herself in the ’80s, showcased her comedic chops in multiple movies and TV shows, including 30 Rock, Modern Family, Surviving Christmas and Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. Now, with a Golden Globe, two SAG Awards, two Primetime Emmys and six Canadian Screen Awards under her belt, O'Hara is still making waves in the acting world. Most recently, she did voiceover work for movies like Extinct and Elemental.

5. Kieran Culkin

  • Best known for: Igby Goes Down, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Succession

Culkin's real-life brother, Kieran, portrayed his on-screen sibling in both Home Alone movies. In 1999, he went on to play Laney Boggs's quirky baby brother, Simon, in the iconic teen flick, She’s All That. Kieran also appeared in movies like Igby Goes DownScott Pilgrim vs. the World and, most recently, the 2021 crime thriller No Sudden Move. However, he will forever be known for portraying Roman Roy in Succession.

In 2019, the actor and his wife, Jazz Charton, welcomed their daughter, Kinsey Sioux, and in August 2021, the pair welcomed their son, Wilder Wolf.

6. Angela Goethals

  • Character: Linnie McCallister
  • Best known for: Jerry Maguire, Changing Lanes, Spanglish

While she appeared as Kevin’s little sister in Home Alone, Goethals didn’t return for part two. Still, she kept up a steady acting career, landing a small role in Jerry Maguire as well as several plays and independent films. You may have also seen Goethals in Without a TraceGrey's AnatomyCrime Scene Investigation, Law & Order and several other TV shows.

Per IMDB, she's currently married to Russell Soder, with whom she shares two children.

7. Devin Ratray

  • Best known for: The Tick, Better Call Saul

The actor, writer and producer is known for more than his role as Kevin’s mean older brother. You might remember him as Prince Eddy's roommate in The Prince and Me, or as Stephen from the 2019 comedy drama, Hustlers. He even starred in two critically acclaimed films: Nebraska and Blue Ruin. But more recently, Ratray returned to the Home Alone franchise and reprised his role in the 2021 reboot, Home Sweet Home Alone. He also appeared as Kevin in the 2022 thriller, Kimi.

While speaking with Den of Geek, he said, “I am very privileged to have continued to act as my only profession and luckily I am able to continue to do interesting and different roles that aren’t just Buzz.”

8. Gerry Bamman

  • Best known for: Runaway Jury, The Bodyguard, Law & Order

Real talk: Uncle Frank’s rude and unfiltered commentary were among the funniest moments in the first two Home Alone movies. The actor and writer went on to appear in a few more films, including The Bodyguard and Runaway Jury, but he's also worked on plenty of TV shows. Law & Order, Sex and the City, The Good Wife and The Following are just a few that he's guest starred in.

9. Hillary Saba

  • Character: Megan McCallister
  • Best known for: Big Girls Don't Cry… They Get Even, Murder Ordained

Saba (formerly Hillary Wolf) played Kevin’s oldest sister, Megan, in both Home Alone movies, but part two was the last film she ever appeared in. According to IMDB, she left acting and went on to become a two-time Olympian in women's judo. She competed in the 1996 and 2000 Summer Olympics, and she even made history as the first American to win the Judo Junior World Championship.

Saba is married to two-time Olympic alternate Chris Saba, with whom she shares two children. She also published a book called The Not So Zen Mom: Parenting Strategies for Survival in 2017.

10. Michael C. Maronna

  • Best known for: The Adventures of Pete & Pete

Who could forget Jeff’s iconic one-liner, "Kevin, you are such a disease!" In addition to Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Maronna also starred as Big Pete in the Nickelodeon series, The Adventures of Pete & Pete. His other projects include What Alice Found, Slackers, 40 Days and 40 Nights and his most recent work, High School Confidential.

Aside from acting, Maronna co-hosts the podcast The Adventures of Danny and Mike with his former co-star, Danny Tamberelli. While speaking with Rewind It Magazine about his Home Alone days, he said, “I remember Chicago and the vast amounts of snow in the winter, eating lots of deep-dish pizza, mostly hanging out with Angela Goethals (who played Linnie), and playing video games a bunch. I took a library book out of the Chicago Public Library about the American Civil War, and I still have it somewhere.”

11. Jedidiah Cohen

The Michigan native left quite an impression as Kevin’s older cousin, but he has since stepped down from the spotlight and branched into different industries. After appearing in two more short films and a documentary about Home Alone, he went on to get degrees in astronomy and astrophysics from Harvard.

In 2007, Cohen worked in real estate as the vice president of Cooper & Cooper in New York. And now, he’s the director of operations at Tilt the Balance. The entrepreneur is also one of the co-founders of the online crowdfunding platform, RocketHub.

You won't find Slotky on the big screen anytime soon, because the former actress has ventured into the world of politics. According to her official website, she's now an attorney with a passion for social justice. In 2022, she was in the running for Judge of the Superior Court, and currently, she's working as a public defender for Los Angeles County.

Her website reads, "With my passion for equity and justice, I chose a career that would allow me to work on behalf of my interests, advocating for the rights of low income people and those with mental illness/disabilities. I am proud of my role in making sure that other people's sons, daughters, parents, siblings, etc., are still afforded their dignity."

14. Diana Rein

  • Best known for: Dennis the Menace

Following Home Alone and Home Alone 2, Rein appeared in a few short films, including Gypsy Gift, which she wrote and produced. After briefly pursuing acting, however, Rein went on to launch her music career and has since released four albums, including Queen of My Castle and Times Like These.

Although the musician's acting days are behind her, she has opened up about Home Alone on quite a few occasions. While speaking with Rewind It Magazine in 2020, she said, “It just feels like it’s stood the test of time...There’s so many people who watch it multiple times, every year. It’s like their holiday tradition, and that makes me feel SO good that it’s still around like it is! And I didn’t know when I was eleven that it was going to be this, kind of cult-following type of film someday.”
