According to a post from the Baker Heights Volunteer Fire Department, they responded to Classic Vanville Road for a structure fire Thursday afternoon. A firefighter assigned to the department from Berkeley County Fire was working overhaul when he hit an electrical line and was electrocuted.

The firefighter was treated immediately by medics on scene. While being loaded into their unit he suffered a medical incident. It was quickly corrected.

He was immediately transported to Winchester medical center for evaluation, where he will remain overnight for evaluation.

"Please take a moment and keep him, his family and the other responders on the scene in your thoughts," the Facebook post said.
