The zone of wildly varying weather is going to set up across Michigan this weekend. Most of us in the southern Lower Michigan will experience a very mild weekend. If you are traveling to far northern Lower Michigan and the Upper Peninsula, it is going to be very snowy at one point.
Here is the radar forecast through the weekend, showing the snow running across northern Michigan.
The storm system will move across Michigan Sunday. It’s going to bring lots of warm air into Lower Michigan. The rain/snow line will be located across the Gaylord area. North of Gaylord expect occasional heavy snow. South of Gaylord expect warm rain showers for Sunday.
Saturday will have light snow across the U.P.
Sunday will have heavy snow and several inches across northern Lower and the U.P.
Saturday is about normal for early December temperatures.
Sunday will be a very warm day with temperatures almost near 60 degrees in the southern half of Lower Michigan.
Eventually Sunday night, cold air will move in across all of Lower Michigan and turn all the rain to snow showers. Amounts will be fairly light across southern Lower Michigan.
