A new trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home has surfaced online. Although the whole trailer is a Weird Trailer - a trailer that gives Marvel fans their long-awaited sight of Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland’s versions of Spider-Man all fighting the villains together. It may just be another example of wishful thinking about No Way Home that fans have collectively landed on, but it’s still pretty cool to see them in action. Weird Trailers by Aldo Jones often take real movie trailers and add all kinds of digital remixes including scenes and characters taken from other films and clips.

This Weird Trailer for No Way Home also has some deep-cut cameos for different supporting and side characters from various Spider-Man movie franchises - even Peter Parker’s pizza shop boss, Mr. Aziz (Aasif Mandvi), as well as his gross landlord, Mr. Ditkovitch (Elya Baskin). The Weird Trailer also has the late, great, Rosemary Harris having a major spotlight as the original Aunt May, who shows up to ease the anger of Jamie Foxx’s Electro with some allowance money and save Tom Holland’s Spidey from Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock.
In addition to the three Spider-Man, this trailer also has an all-out final battle that brings together the villains of the Sinister Six - all collected from different Spider-Man films. It was nice to see that battle as we see all three Spider-Man going against the Sinister Six villains in the set-piece of that large construction site from the original trailer.
Unlike the other fan-made trailers of Spider-Man: No Way Home, this Weird Trailer is pretty much what fans are hoping to see in the actual movie. Many fans even hope that the climactic scenes of this Weird Trailer are in fact the actual battle footage that’s in No Way Home, seen without all the digital censoring shenanigans Marvel usually does to their trailers.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to release in US theaters on December 17, 2021.
