The Atlanta Hawks are 12-10 and sit seventh in the East following their 114-11 victory over the Indiana Pacers. Their play over the last two-plus weeks has been in stark contrast to that of their six-game slide earlier in the season. That this has come amid several injuries to key players is a testament to this team’s resolve.

They got a heck of a showing from swingman Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, who had eight points and went 2-of-5 from deep while playing tough perimeter defense, in his first start.

It was yet another masterful performance from Trae Young, save for a late turnover.

He finished with 33 points, 10 assists, and eight rebounds to fall just shy of a triple-double. As it stands, it was his fifth game in a row with at least 30 points and the 10th time he’s done it this season.

The double-double was also Young’s 10th of the season.

The Atlanta Hawks have seemingly gotten stronger as their depth has been tested

If there is a knock against him, it’s that he wasn’t efficient getting his from deep. He shot 48.1 percent from the floor but was just 3-for-10 from downtown.

John Collins had 14 points but only four boards. He did, however, record four blocks, two assists, and a steal. While he hasn’t been scoring a lot lately with just one 20-plus-point performance in his last six. But Collins has done just about everything else the Hawks could have asked at a high level over that span.

It was also a quiet scoring night for Clint Capela who had eight points. He managed to grab nine boards on a good rebounding Pacers team to go with four assists and two blocks of his own.

Delon Wright also delivered on expectations and had his best offensive night with 11 points, three boards, and two assists off of the bench.
