I have a defective screen and Samsung won't do anything

I took the case off to clean the phone and put it back on, and turned it on and there was black circles and lines. Samsung said I damaged it, but I told them it's defective. I used to own a cell phone store and we would get phones with the exact same blotches all the time. The screens were defective. I took it to UbreakIfix, and they don't have any screens. So I sent it to Samsung. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's a bummer.:( Did Samsung say why they think you caused the damage? Did they find any scuff marks, scratches, or any other break in the integrity of the phone?

You can try to find a cheap for-parts S21U on eBay or locally on OfferUp. Like one with a cracked back, or Google locked, etc

Then take both phones to uBreakiFix so they can grab the good OLED panel and install it in your phone.

They may not give it warranty since "the customer provided the part" and it may cost more than just bringing them a replacement OLED assembly because they have to disassemble both phones to do the job. But a quick search on eBay and I saw spares are like $350 + for that phone right now.

I damaged my S9 like that taking the case off. The case stuck just enough to the side of the screen it pulled it away from the phone.

Welcome to Android Central! Wow, that doesn't speak well to the build quality of that particular unit. I have to believe that it was a defective unit, rather than a common occurrence on a Samsung flagship.:-\
