The senior program manager at Xbox Monty Hernandez has revealed 20 percent of Xbox Cloud Gaming users exclusively use touch controls.
"[Twenty] percent of our Xbox Cloud Gaming users use touch as their exclusive method of playing games," Hernandez told The Verge. "As such, it’s important to us that the touch-enabled games we launch are relevant and, most importantly, play well with touch controls."
Hernandez added, "We’ve seen, on average, a 2x increase in usage for titles available via Xbox Cloud Gaming, across genres, that implement touch controls."
There are even some games that where 30 percent of players only use touch controls - Hades, New Super Lucky's Tale, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Scarlet Nexus, Dragon Quest XI, Minecraft Dungeons, and Football Manager 2022 Xbox Edition.
Xbox Cloud Gaming is available for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.

On a tangentially related topic: it's starting to look like this XCloud thing is really working, both for gamers, and Microsoft.
Disgusting
EXACTLY
Does he mean 20% of ALL xCloud gamers? Or 20% of xCloud gamers using mobile devices?
I ask because I'm a daily xCloud gamer, but I'm streaming to my Xbox console exclusively. Others may stream to their PC.
I could see it being 20% of mobile-only games, but if people who stream to PC and console are also included then it's actually more than 20% of gamers on mobile devices using only touch controls.
Also of note, if 20% are ONLY using touch controls, that means the number of people using touch controls is far higher since there will be some people who occasionally use touch controls and other times pairing a controller.
Now we know who can be eliminated...
That's actually more than I was expecting. I wonder if mobile only gamers are starting to get on Game Pass Ultimate. I tried it and I could NOT use touch controls lol I've always hated how it felt and would just connect a Bluetooth controller.
These people are villains.
I can't stand touch controls due to lack of feedback...
But in saying that I have seen some pretty impressive touch-screen-only gamers.
I use my razer kishi for the majority of my xcloud mobile usage, but some games like Hades, Minecraft Dungeons, and some others play great with touch controls.
Touch was helpful and very adequate for trying out Tell Me Why. I'd much prefer to just bring my bluetooth SX controller with me if I planned to stream Xcloud.
As an aside, Xcloud is getting shockingly playable. Had a long Forza session in bed and its performance was fantastic and it only sips battery life.
Now I know some players are playing with thumb blind spots.
