The final Burlington County Holiday Farmers Market will take place rain-or-shine this Saturday, Dec. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Burlington County Agricultural Center, located at 500 Centerton Road in Moorestown.

A dozen farmers, 34 crafters and artists, 21 food vendors and the Old Man Garage Band will be at the event, which is set to round out the market’s most successful season in its 15-year history, according to county spokesperson David Levinsky.

There will also be a holiday cookie decorating class that visitors can attend at the Agricultural Center’s Farmhouse Kitchen during the event.

“Fresh cut flowers, holiday wreaths, craft beer, gifts, decorations and incredible foods can all be found at the market,” county commissioner Linda Hynes said in a press release. “Shoppers can check off an entire holiday list with one trip.”

“It’s a family-friendly event that helps support our county’s farmers and small business vendors,” she said. “It’s not to be missed.”

The first holiday market, held last month just before Thanksgiving on Nov. 20, set a new attendance record for the market, said Levinsky. More than 2,000 vehicles were counted at the event, surpassing the previous high of 1,449 at the special Christmas in July market earlier this year.

“Word has spread about the amazing varieties of crafts, foods, and produce that’s available at our market and the relaxing fun of shopping outdoors at what remains a working farm,” said Commissioner Director Felicia Hopson. “We’re thrilled by the market’s popularity and the boost it’s providing to farmers and small business owners.”
