We searched through Netflix to find the true needles in the vast haystack of holiday titles, both movies and TV shows, to give you the guide you need to settle in and soak in the yuletide glee.

Netflix made a lot of original movies about the season, and they kind of run together if you stare and scroll long enough, so be sure to pick quick or else you’ll fall asleep remote-in-hand.
We’ll share the full list of their best holiday options, but if we had to pick a handful of favorites:
Just Friends (2005): Underrated holiday rom-com with hilarious one-liners from Ryan Reynolds as a man who revisits his high school crush (Amy Smart) several years after heartbreak.
Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey (2020): An imaginary world comes to life in a holiday tale of an eccentric toymaker, his adventurous granddaughter, and a magical invention that has the power to change their lives forever. Stars Alabama’s Madalen Mills.
The Christmas Chronicles (2018): The story of a sister and brother whose Christmas Eve plan to catch Santa Claus on camera turns into an unexpected journey that most kids could only dream about. Kurt Russell as Santa? Cross it off the Christmas list.
White Christmas (1964): A successful song-and-dance team become romantically involved with a sister act and team up to save the failing Vermont inn of their former commanding general. Toss in this classic starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera Ellen.
Seinfeld -- “The Strike” (1997): The 10th episode in the final season of Seinfeld has plenty of the sitcom’s well-known shenanigans, but it cracks this list with the introduction of Frank Costanza’s demented “Festivus” holiday. Prepare for the traditional feats of strength. We’ll go get the aluminum pole.
