Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Toy Reveals Showdown Against New Villain

Fans are looking forward to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness since it is expected to, as the title suggested, venture into the multiverse. While the exact plot details and how the "multiverse of madness" will play out are still under wraps, we are starting to get more information about the film thanks to the toys and merch that are starting to unveil.

Recently, Lego has unveiled a brand new Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness toy set titled "Gargantos Showdown" where we see Doctor Strange, Wong, and America Chavez fighting against Gargantos, a giant one-eyed monster. In case you didn't know, Gargantos is a character from the comics who first appeared in Sub-Mariner #13 back in May 1969. You can view the photo here:

It is interesting to have Gargantos as one of the villains that Doctor Strange is going to face in the film since the character is associated with Namor in the comics. Does it mean that perhaps Namor will be appearing in the film? It's hard to say for now although there have been rumors that he is going to make his MCU debut soon, with some speculating that it would be in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

There are also rumors that Shuma-Gorath will also be making an appearance in the film and might be the main villain since he is a multiversal baddie in the comics. However, he already appeared in What If...? which may put his chance of appearing in the film to be unlikely. We shall just wait and see soon for more details.

The film is currently undergoing significant reshoots and additional photography. According to Benedict Cumberbatch, the ongoing reshoots are happening due to adding or enhancing scenes that were impossible to do during the initial principal photography due to COVID-19-related logistical issues.
