We can’t get enough of Hailey Bieber’s YouTube channel. It gives fans (including us) insight into her life as a celeb, like the video dedicated to her getting ready for the Met Gala (who knew it could be so stressful?!).

Not to mention lots of tips, like her go-to hairstylist Jen Atkin revealing how we should really use our hairspray, and anecdotes, like the time a particular red carpet hairstyle left Hailey with a bald spot.

In her latest YouTube vid, Hailey is treating us to a Get Ready With Me and it’s actually pretty soothing watching somebody get their hair and makeup done, tbh. Alongside a few clever tricks sprinkled throughout (Jen says you can tackle flyaways by carefully running hot curling tongs over them), Hailey also gave us a little glimpse into the process of overlining her lips.

By now, we all know that a lot of celebs like to overline. When done right, it can help to make lips look plumper and give them a more defined shape.

Touching up the edges of her berry-hued lips, Hailey asks her makeup artist Mary Phillips: “Which client of yours is the best at doing lip liner?”

Mary responds: “I would have to say you.”

“Heard it here first,” Hailey tells the camera with a smirk.

She adds: “Mary does this nice overlining thing that makes your lips look juicy and full, so.”

The camera then pans into a close-up shot of Mary perfecting the edge of Hailey’s overlined lips. While Mary sadly doesn’t go into detail about the process, we noticed that her pencil is super sharp, which may be where we’ve been going wrong.

It makes sense, the sharper the pencil, the more defined the edge will be. Here’s a close-up of said lip liner once Hailey got ready…

See? Subtly defined. Here’s hoping her next video involves a step-by-step from Mary herself.
