One person was seriously injured and a student was charged with assault after a fight between two girls at Franklin High School in Baltimore County this morning.
Baltimore County Police were on scene after the fight, which happened at about 7:50 a.m. Thursday at the school in Reisterstown.
School officials say the altercation involved two students and took place in a locker room.
The victim said she was struck in the head. The injured student was flown by Medevac hospital to an area hospital for treatment.
A School Resource Officer arrested the suspect, who was charged with first-degree assault.
Prior to being transported from the school, the victim advised a School Resource Officer she had been struck in the head.
The SRO later determined the identity of the juvenile suspect and placed the person under arrest.
The female juvenile has been charged with first degree assault.
