PlayStation Plus subscribers did not get a full version of Godfall, instead, it's the Challenger version which does not have the full campaign.

Yesterday, Sony officially confirmed the PlayStation Plus games for the month of December 2021. As revealed in leaks, the included titles are Mortal Shell, Lego DC Super-Villains and Godfall in a brand new Challenger Edition.

It's a pretty decent lineup to be fair but it does not come without a little bit of controversy. Godfall: Challenger Edition is not actually a full game, which, if we recall correctly, is a first for PlayStation Plus.

Usually, PlayStation Plus subscribers get full titles but for some reason, Sony decided to offer what is basically a demo for the game.

Godfall: Challenger Edition comes with three modes - Lightbringer, Dreamstones, and the Ascended Tower of Trials. All three modes are endgame content so you'll be equipped with powerful weapons and skills in order to have a chance.

This is quite odd since we assume that most players would actually prefer to play the campaign and earn the weapons themselves.

To play the main campaign, you will have to upgrade to the Deluxe Edition, which gives you access to two campaigns - the main one and Fire & Darkness.

Sony Godfall Challenger Edition

So basically, Godfall: Challenger Edition is not a full game and only comes with a couple of modes. If you were planning to dive into the campaigns, tough luck, this one does not include such content.

It remains to be seen if Sony reverse the decision and replace the Godfall: Challenger Edition with the full version.
