- Meridian Bioscience (NASDAQ:VIVO) says that its Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President Bryan Baldasare is retiring from the company effective Dec. 31, 2021.
- Baldasare, who joined Meridian (VIVO) in 2000, has served as its CFO since 2019. During his tenure, the company has expanded into 15 sites in 10 countries, and its revenue has risen more than 500%.
- Meridian (VIVO) has sought the services of an executive search firm to recruit a new CFO. In a related development, it has appointed Julie Smith as Senior Vice President, Controller effective Dec. 06, 2021, and principal accounting officer effective Jan. 01, 2022.
- The retirement of Baldasare follows the decision by the company’s Chairman of the Board, David Phillips, not to seek re-election at the end of his term in Jan. 2022.
