Here are some stories making headlines across the headlines.
A Pawling man is dead after a crash in Dutchess County. Police say it happened Tuesday night on State Route 22 in the Town of Dover. Police say David Elwell, 51, was heading north when he crossed into the southbound lane and crashed into a vehicle He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle suffered injuries that are not life-threatening.
Two teens are facing assault charges after pistol whipping a Newburgh student after school. The attack on the 15-year-old took place last month and was recorded by a student. Police say a BB-gun that looked like a firearm was used and has been recovered. One underage teen was arrested on Tuesday and another arrest is pending.
A Bee-Line bus driver lost control and slammed into some outdoor Jersey barriers in Pelham Wednesday. Police say the crash happened around 6:45 a.m. on Fifth Avenue. They say the bus, which was not in service, was heading southbound when the driver apparently lost control and hit several barriers outside restaurants. News 12 is told the driver was not hurt. Fifth Avenue was shut down for several hours but has since reopened. Police say they'll be looking over video footage from inside the bus as part of their investigation.
