Campaign Easter Eggs and Secrets
There are many secrets to be found around Zeta Halo's open world. Thanks to tools like the Grappleshot and plenty of vehicles, you can find a number of odd things around the Ring. Here's what we've found.
While this does not contain story spoilers, some discoveries could be considered spoilers for those who wish to find them themselves.
Craig On Tour
Craig was a Brute missing... some characteristics when Halo Infinite's campaign was first revealed and ended up becoming a meme among the Halo community. Developer 343 Industries has turned him into a Halo Infinite icon. Check out the video below to see how Craig appears in the Halo Infinite campaign and where to find this Easter egg.
Outpost Tremonius Button Easter Egg
Don't want to run down into the outpost and shoot all the Banished during the Outpost Tremonius mission? Why not summon a little help? This Outpost Tremonius Easter egg will make it so that you shouldn't have to fire more than a few bullets to clear the base.
This Easter egg involves a strange red Banished button you'll find next to a dead Marine. This is between the cliffside and the Banished structure you emerged from. Press it!
From there, you're going to need to work on your Grapplingshot skills. Use it to scale the corner of the wall in the ruins of the UNSC ship, just by the first button.
On your way over to this spot you may get a warning countdown that you're going out of bounds. Just keep moving forward!
Keep moving as well as you can through the underside of the ship and fling yourself around the dead end to this location far above a Banished door that sits below in the cliffside. If you scan, you'll see the button highlighted.
Now to keep heading east and get on top of the ruined UNSC ship.
You'll want to run along the flat surface toward this wreckage that has the final of three buttons.
Press it. Give it a few seconds and help will come from the sky all explosives rain down on the Banished below. This should clear out most of the Banished. Hop down and clear out any that remain after the explosives have stopped falling from the sky.
House of Reckoning Button Easter Egg
This is best for folks playing co-op. In the House of Reckoning mission, you'll come across a part for "Advanced Training." Follow these steps to complete its special button Easter egg:
Before heading out onto the battlefield, press the red button on the second floor of the control room. You'll find it in the center of the wall across from a Ravager.
Then once you proceed through the doors, use the Grappleshot to reach the button above the satellite dish on the right side of the room for the second button.
This might take a few tries to land on the rails just below it. It's easiest to target the wall above the rails then drop down.
You'll find the third and final button on top of the tall building in the room.
Grappleshot your way up and you'll find a dead Marine with the button.
Pressing all three will earn you a Rockethog that'll tumble out of a door near the back left side of the room.
Multiplayer Easter Eggs and Secrets
Halo Infinite's multiplayer is more than just fighting other Spartans for a good KDA; there's also a light story to it. Each of the maps and even the Academy have plenty of references and neat secrets. Learn all about them here.
Halo Infinite Character Dolls
You can come across dolls of various Halo characters throughout Zeta Halo. These are often near UNSC supplies.
Tips and Weekly Challenge Names
Many of the Halo Infinite tips you see in loading screens and even the weekly challenges are references to other Xbox exclusive games and Xbox Studios. A few of the tips are references to lines from the Halo series too. Here are a few examples of ones we've seen.
Weekly Challenges:
Fusion Frenzy - A reference to the hit original Xbox party game, Fuzion Frenzy.
It's a Sandwich
On Highpower, you can find yourself a little snack spot (though it's certainly better as a spot to sneak away) in the southern base by the waterfall. On its top floor, face south and you'll see this small cubby just big enough for a Spartan:
Crawl in, and just in front of you you'll see this sandwich:
There's not much special about it aside from it having a questionable number of onions, but if you ping it, you'll see "SANDWICH" pinged on the notification feed on the left, as will your teammates.
Yep, This is Death
On Deadlock, you'll probably find yourself fighting a ton around a downed Pelican at the edge of the map. If you're so bold as to crawl into the cockpit, however, you'll see a unique callout at the bottom of the screen...
This seems to be a reference to one of Halo Infinite's campaign in which Echo 216's pilot says the line while landing on the Halo ring with Master Chief.
