Amir Khan believes Jake Paul has made an error by agreeing to face Tommy Fury and insists it will end badly for the social media influencer.

Paul, a Youtube star turned boxer, fights for the fifth time as a professional against Fury, the younger brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, in the main event of a Showtime pay-per-view card on December 18 in Tampa, Florida.

‘The Problem Child’ went the distance for the first time in his career in August, beating former UFC world champion Tyron Woodley by split decision over eight rounds. Fury fought on the undercard of that event, as he went the four round distance with combat sports veteran Anthony Taylor.

In the aftermath of that card, Paul and Fury were involved in a heated confrontation backstage.

In his other pro fights, Paul stopped Youtube rival AnEsonGib, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson and another former UFC fighter in Ben Askren.

Fury will be the first pro boxer that Paul (4-0, 3 KOs) has ever stepped in the ring with.

Khan, who faces domestic rival Kell Brook on February 19 in a long-awaited grudge clash, believes Fury - unbeaten in his first seven professional bouts - is destined to become a champion in the future and openly warns Paul of the danger in facing the Brit.

“I think Tommy’s a great guy and a great fighter,” Khan told Pro Boxing Fans.

“I know Tyson, his brother really well. But, I just feel that Jake Paul is going to get hurt in this fight.

“I like Jake as a fighter, he’s messaged me a couple of times, but at the end of day Tommy is a future champion and he wants to fight someone like that, [Paul] can get hurt badly.”
