Authorities are responding to Little Cottonwood Canyon after a climber fell 30 feet, authorities said.

The man was conscious when Unified Fire Authority was first notified. Officials said they were able to make it to the individual and transport him to the hospital.

He is in stable but serious condition, Unified Fire confirmed.

The incident happened in an area approximately 1.5 miles up the canyon on a climb known as "Satan's Corner." It is located in the Gate Buttress, which contains several well-known climbs.

The Gate Buttress is a popular destination for climbers.
