Jessica's Existence in SNSD Photo When She Was Still Active Edited Out in 'You Quiz on the Block,' Draws Divided Reactions

Jessica, a former member of Girls' Generation (SNSD), was completely edited out in her photo with the team when she was still active. As a result, tvN's "You Quiz on the Block" drew divided opinions.

On the 1st, Min Hee Jin, the CBO of HYBE and CEO of the company's new label "Ador," appeared on the latest episode of tvN's "You Quiz on the Block."

In the broadcast, the art director talked about her previous masterpieces, including SNSD's "Gee."

However, aside from her stories, the broadcast drew attention when viewers, particularly fans of SNSD noticed that former member Jessica was edited out from the screen.

In the broadcast that day, Ador's CEO Min Hee Jin mentioned that SM Entertainment proposed a concept of white T-shirts and jeans during Girls' Generation's "Gee" activities in the past, which became iconic immediately after its release.

During her talk, SNSD photos from that era were released, but it was noticeable how Jessica was excluded.

In particular, in the original photo, Jessica stands in between Tiffany and Sooyoung. But in the edited version, Sooyoung was seen hugging Tiffany instead of Jessica.

As a response, several Korean internet users expressed positive reactions such as, "Yes, SNSD is 8!", "You Quiz on the Block have a good sense," "It seems like the right thing to do," and "She pissed a lot for a long time after she left the group so it's good."

Nevertheless, loyal supporters of Jessica and OT9 SNSD conveyed their frustrations and commented, "Do you have to go this far?" " Why would you erase her existence when she's still active that time?" "Can't you choose a photo without her instead?" "The editing is super bad, just look what happened to Sooyoung's hand," and more.

Born in 1989, Jessica, 33 years old this year, debuted as Girls' Generation in 2007. Along with SNSD, the female star created hits such as "Gee," "Into the New World," and "Kissing You" and became active for about seven and a half years.

Jessica is one of the most popular members at that time, who also gained the nickname "Ice Princess" for her cool and intimidating visual and appearance during their pre-debut era but later on, loved for her warm personality.

But she received backlash when she withdrew from Girls' Generation in September 2014 and canceled her exclusive contract early in August 2015 with her agency SM Entertainment.

 Currently, she is working as a solo singer and designer. She is also working as the owner and founder of the fashion brand Blanc & Eclare, along with her boyfriend, Tyler Kwon.
