Nordin (abdomen) was waived by the Patriots on Wednesday, Mike Reiss of ESPN reports.
Nordin was recently removed from IR, and the Patriots likely waived him with the intention of adding Nordin to the practice squad if he goes unclaimed. The rookie kicker is in no position to challenge veteran incumbent Nick Folk this season, as Folk has made 31 of 34 field-goal attempts.
