The fallout of Celeste Faroe framing her brother Mitchell Deveraux for the murder of Lisa Loveday in Hollyoaks has been revealed.
Soap bosses have shed more light on an upcoming story first revealed in the winter trailer, where it looks as if Celeste will do anything to convince Nate Denby her brother and father weren't responsible for killing Lisa.
Scenes airing next week will see Toby panicking when police investigate a body found in the woods. While the Faroes worry, Felix tries calming their nerves with news that he's told police a new story.
Toby flies off the handle again, forcing his sister to come up with a secret plan to get them both off the hook for Lisa's death.
At the same time, Nate starts to explain his true past with Lisa to Grace Black – including confessing his true name is Saul.
The focus will shift back to Martine as she receives unspeakable news from police that she struggles to believe, as her son Mitchell is accused of killing Lisa.
Celeste has to keep calm, knowing that she is the one who put Mitchell in the frame for the murder even though Toby actually killed Lisa.
However, it's not Toby who Martine begins to suspect when Saul opens up to her about his theory Felix was involved in Lisa's murder.
Martine will be left stunned once she stumbles on a text message that could have dire consequences on the entire Devereaux family. What has Martine discovered?
Some viewers may remember that Mitchell actually left the village in 2020 once he found out his siblings were planning to stitch him up for murdering Lisa, but Toby and Celeste have both tried to turn over a new leaf until now.
Hollyoaks airs these scenes on Monday, December 13 and Tuesday, December 14 at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and will premiere the previous night on E4. Selected omnibus episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video.
