November 19, 2021
Deputies received a report of a cold vehicle trespass/theft in the 500 block of West 11th Street in the town of Akron. The case is under investigation.
Deputies received a report of a vehicle trespass in the 700 block of Adams Avenue in the town of Akron. The case is under investigation.
November 20, 2021
Deputies were dispatched to a domestic in progress in the 700 block of Fremont Avenue in the town of Akron. Daniel McGinnis was arrested for 3rd degree assault. McGinnis was later released on a $1,000.00 PR Bond.
November 21, 2021
Deputies received a report of a possible domestic disturbance in the 300 block of West 4th in the town of Akron. When deputies arrived, they determined that nothing criminal had occurred.
November 22, 2021
Deputies received a report of a cat at large in the 600 block of Fremont Avenue in the town of Akron. The cat was taken to the pound and flyers were posted to try to locate the owner.
November 23, 2021
Deputies received a report of a dog at large in the 400 block of Custer Avenue in the town of Akron. The dog was taken to the pound and later released to the owner.
November 26, 2021
Deputies responded to the 30000 block of County Road 34 for a report of a vehicle/field fire. Parties on scene were hunting when their vehicle caught fire, ultimately starting a field fire. The parties, who were hunting, were found to not have permission to be on the property, so the Colorado Department of Wildlife responded to the scene to issue trespassing citations. Akron Volunteer Fire Department was able to extinguish the field and vehicle fire.
