The Patriots now have two players on the COVID list.

Earlier in the week running back J.J. Taylor was placed on it and then Wednesday so was the Patriots' leading tackler, Kyle Dugger, according to the NFL transaction wire.

Dugger was not spotted at practice earlier in the afternoon so this explains his absence. If he's unvaccinated he does not have any shot at playing Monday in Buffalo, while if he is, there's a chance, but it would be tough. He would need to produce two negative tests 24 hours apart.

The second-year player did a great job against Atlanta tight end Kyle Pitts a few weeks ago, so if he's out the defense will need someone to step up against Dawson Knox.

Following Thanksgiving, all NFL players were COVID-tested on Monday and then again on Wednesday.
