We’ve seen a lot of staffing changes at the Walt Disney Company over the past several months.

There have been promotions, departures, and some big changes (including a change in CEO at the beginning of 2020). Now, there are some changes going on in the Imagineering department!

Back in March, we reported that both Bob Weis (who was the President of Imagineering) and Barbara Bouza got title changes within Walt Disney Imagineering. Bob Weis’s LinkedIn profile listed his new job title as President — Creative and New Experience Development, while Bouza updated hers to President — Business Management, Design & Development. Weis kept the regular title of “President of Walt Disney Imagineering” on his profile at that time as well.

Now, according to My News 13, Weis sent out a memo to Imagineering Cast Members on Tuesday to inform them that he was stepping down as President — he will now take on the role of Global Imagineering Ambassador, which was once held by Disney Legend Marty Sklar.

Weis noted that “In this role, Marty was able to invest in our legacy as a way to build our future, mentor and advocate for our talent, recruit the next generation of Imagineers, and help record our history through his writing.” Barbara Bouza will take over as President of Walt Disney Imagineering. At this time, her LinkedIn account still has the old title listed.
