The second half of Southampton vs Leicester City has been delayed due to a medical emergency in the crowd.

It comes just 45 minutes after Watford's clash with Chelsea was suspended due to a suspected cardiac arrest in the crowd.

Leicester City tweeted: "There will be a delay to kick-off for the second half due to a medical emergency in the stands."

The game has since restarted after a delay with the scores 2-2.

Jan Bednarek gave the Saints an early lead after turning home a Nathan Tella cross inside three minutes, meaning Leicester's long run for a clean sheet goes on.

The Foxes got back in it through Jonny Evans' volley, before Che Adams restored Southampton's lead with a glancing header.

James Maddison then continued his hot streak once the second half resumed with a lovely low-driven effort.

Leicester will be looking to win their second game on the bounce following an emphatic 4-2 win over Watford on Sunday.

Southampton, meanwhile, are looking to recover from a thumping 4-0 defeat to Liverpool.

Both sides started the evening in the bottom half but Leicester could move up to as high as sixth should they go on to win.
