  1. Sportscene along shortly...

You can catch up with highlights from all tonight's matches and yesterday's win for Motherwell on BBC One Scotland at 22:35 GMT.

We'll be back tomorrow for Celtic v Hearts. That should be a cracker.

    Cheers for now.

  2. 'Soft' sending off cost us - Martindale

    FT: Aberdeen 2-0 Livingston

Livingston manager David Martindale: "First half was nowhere near good enough, but I take the blame because I stuck with the shape and it didn't help us.

"We were lucky to go in 1-0 down after not laying a glove on Aberdeen.

"We changed the shape and personnel and were getting a foothold, then came Jackson Longridge's second yellow.

"It didn't think it was a yellow at the time and having watched it back I'm even more convinced. It was really soft.

"It was an uphill struggle at 1-0 down with 11 men never mind 10."

  3. Glass aims to 'keep building' with run of wins

    FT: Aberdeen 2-0 Livingston

Aberdeen manager Stephen Glass tells BBC Sportsound: "The first-half performance especially was really pleasing. The professionalism in the second half was good, the quality could have been a bit better but I won't complain.

"We limited Livi to a couple of shots. We've done that recently to teams and any mistakes were punished, but our defenders didn't make any tonight.

"Ryan [Hedges] is disappointed he hasn't got another one or two goals at least, but that's the demands they put on each other.

"It's important we keep building and that this becomes a run of victories."

  4. 'Rangers building momentum'

    FT: Hibernian 0-1 Rangers

    Neil Alexander

    Former Rangers goalkeeper on Sportsound

Quote Message: The performance wasn't great but it's three wins from three for Giovanni van Bronckhorst and he's building momentum
  5. Penalty a 50/50 call - Ross

    FT: Hibernian 0-1 Rangers

Hibernian head coach Jack Ross has given his thoughts on the late penalty kick that won Rangers the game.

"I think it's one, for me, that I would want in the opposition box," he said.

"But that doesn't mean to say it's a penalty. At the time I had no idea now I've watched it back and Ryan [Porteous] pulls his foot away. There's minimal contact.

"It's a 50/50, sometimes they're given, sometimes they're not and we would argue the case for it not to be given naturally. I don't think we deserved that or Ryan deserved that from his performance as well.

"I don't' think we deserved to lose the game. I thought we started the first half well, second half of the first half I thought Rangers were better. Half-time came at a good time for us to regroup.

"The second half performance was strong, the only criticism was that we didn't work Allan McGregor enough. It's hugely frustrating to lose that game and in the manner we did."

  6. 'Mullen leads from the front for Dundee'

    FT: Dundee 1-0 St Johnstone

    Allan Preston

Ex-St Johnstone defender on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: It was a really good striker's goal from Danny Mullen; back to goal, takes a touch, gets it into the bottom corner. He led the line so well, keeping the three St Johnstone defenders on their toes all night
  7. McPake praises 'exceptional' Mullen

    FT: Dundee 1-0 St Johnstone

Dundee manager James McPake tells BBC Sportsound: "It was going to be a really tough game. We had to roll our sleeves up at times, but the better team won.

"We could have more comfortable if we'd taken our chances. I'm delighted with the players and the effort."

On striker Danny Mullen, McPake adds: "He was exceptional. He's been great for us and I'm delighted for him. He's a joy to work with. He's loving his football. You can see the appreciation from the fans."

  8. 'Very big win' - Van Bronckhorst

    FT: Hibernian 0-1 Rangers

Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst on Sky Sports: "Very big win. It was a tough game as we expected. It was really close, a lot of physical play from both sides and not many chances. Fortunately we'll take the win and three more points for us.

"The game was decided by transition moments. In the first half we had some great moments to score, a great chance for Morelos. But we also gave a lot of balls away and had to defend transition moments as well."

  9. Another blank for St Johnstone

    FT: Dundee 1-0 St Johnstone

St Johnstone failed to score for the eighth time in 15 Premiership games. The team from Perth are the division's lowest scorers with just nine goals.

  10. 'A tough time for Saints' - Davidson

    FT: Dundee 1-0 St Johnstone

St Johnstone boss Callum Davidson tells BBC Sportsound: "We are bitterly disappointed. Today I thought we were second best. It's a tough time for us.

"We could do things a lot better. We were really organised last season. It's about getting back to basics now. Its a really tough league this season and we need to make sure we are at it.

"You'll go through periods like this all the time. We need to make sure the lads stick together. We have a huge game coming up on Saturday."

  11. 'Kent is sharp in the box'

    FT: Hibernian 0-1 Rangers

    John Collins

    Former Hibs manager on Sportsound

Quote Message: It was a penalty. Ryan Kent is sharp in the box and he's looking for defenders to dive in. Ryan Porteous will be disappointed. Rangers didn't fire on all cylinders and there wasn't much between the teams, so they'll be delighted to be going along the M8 with the points

  12. Defeat 'hard to take' for Macey

    FT: Hibernian 0-1 Rangers

Hibernian goalkeeper Matt Macey tells BBC Sportsound that the loss to Rangers is "hard to take".

"We had a lot of territory and I felt comfortable. There were a few shots from distance but nothing that really troubled us.

"Results haven't gone our way, decisions haven't gone our way but as a whole our performances have been good. It's just those little things not clicking.

"As a group, we are gutted but we'll be ready to go again on Saturday."

Hibs have now lost six of their last seven Scottish Premiership games.

  13. 'Stupid from Porteous'

    FT: Hibernian 0-1 Rangers

    Tom English

BBC Scotland's chief sports writer on Sportsound

Quote Message: Ryan Porteous has done something pretty stupid. He's prone to doing that, particularly against Rangers. He's cost Hibs again tonight
  14. 'Controlled victory for Aberdeen'

    FT: Aberdeen 2-0 Livingston

    Tyrone Smith

    BBC Scotland at Pittodrie

A very comfortable evening for Aberdeen, who were in control of things from the off. In previous games the Dons have had lots of possession and not really done a whole lot with it, but they did tonight. They were patient when they had to be and incisive at other times. Hedges and Watkins caused Livingston all sorts of problems.

Aberdeen will be hoping this can be a spring board to better things, The red card ended any hopes of Livingston getting anything out of this game, it is now five games without a win for the West Lothian side.

  15. 'Saints overpowered by Dundee'

    FT: Dundee 1-0 St Johnstone

    Allan Preston

Ex-St Johnstone defender on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: I don't say this too often but St Johnstone were outfought in absolutely every department
  16. FULL-TIME St Mirren 0-0 Ross County

Ross County survive a second-half onslaught from St Mirren to make it a third Scottish Premiership game without defeat - but missed the chance to lift themselves off the bottom of the table.

With Livingston losing, the Dingwall side could have edged up the division.

Instead, it is St Mirren who will be the more frustrated after passing up a glut of chances in Paisley. Jim Goodwin's side are now seven games without a win and drop to eighth.

  17. FULL-TIME - Hibernian 0-1 Rangers

That's that! Rangers gain revenge of sorts for that League Cup semi-final defeat.

It was far from sparkling, but Kemar Roofe's late penalty gives them a really important win. Giovanni van Bronckhorst maintains his 100% record and the champions move seven points clear at the top.

It's tough on Hibs who played well in the second half but the home side didn't test goalkeeper Allan McGregor at all.

  18. Post update

    Hibernian 0-1 Rangers

Into five added minutes at Easter Road as Hibs defender Ryan Porteous heads high over the top from a corner.

  19. FULL-TIME Aberdeen 2-0 Livingston

Aberdeen halt their three-game Scottish Premiership losing run by powering to victory over 10-man Livingston at Pittodrie.

Talisman Ryan Hedges scored his first league goal of the season, and Livingston's hopes nosedived with a second yellow for Jackson Longridge on the hour.

David Bates swept in his first Aberdeen goal to make sure of a deserved win.

Stephen Glass' men move up a place to seventh, while Livingston drop to second bottom after a fifth Premiership game without victory.

  20. FULL-TIME Dundee 1-0 St Johnstone

Dundee earn back-to-back league wins for the first time this term after downing Tayside rivals St Johnstone.

James McPake's men also leapfrog tonight's visitors into ninth thanks to Danny Mullen's first-half finish.

St Johnstone without a win in four games in all competitions and just three points off the bottom.
