Iron Maiden is heading back to the Bay Area.

The platinum-selling band, which ranks as one of the top 5 metal bands of all time, is set to perform on Sept. 27 at Concord Pavilion.

The date is part of a North American tour in 2022 that finds the band — which really should have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame years ago — visiting a number of cities that it reportedly hasn’t performed in for many years.

It’s a continuation of the band’s Legacy of the Beast World Tour, which has already been seen by nearly 2 million people across the globe — including by audiences at Oakland Arena and the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento back in 2019.

This time around, however, fans will witness an “updated Legacy of the Beast Tour” that organizers promise will be “even more spectacular,” according to a news release.

“We’re really looking forward to our return to North America so we can bring the Legacy of the Beast show to places we didn’t get to in 2019 and to other cities we’ve not played for many years,” says Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson. “I’m really excited about the new additions and changes to the stage production and we can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve got planned. The whole band has really enjoyed the Legacy Tour and now we just can’t wait get back out on the road to play live, have fun and see everyone again!”

The complete tour itinerary is listed below.

Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Dec. 10 (local times) for all of these tour dates — including the Concord gig — via livenation.com and/or ticketmaster.com. There are also two presales happening — one held through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan platform (https://verifiedfan.ticketmaster.com/ironmaiden) and another Iron Maiden fan club members. Trivium is the opening act for all dates between El Paso and Spokane, followed by Within Temptation on all dates from Sioux Falls to Tampa.
