The Taylor Police Department says the death of a 33-year-old man on Tuesday is now being investigated as a murder.
It happened at a home in the 2100 block of Whistling Way.
Taylor PD said officers responded to the home at around 4:14 p.m. for a report of a fatal shooting after a family member found Jonathan Hitch dead from a gunshot wound to the head.
In an update from police Wednesday, they said the investigation has been upgraded from a suspicious death to a homicide, saying further information has led them to determine that Hitch was a victim of murder.
There are no suspects at this time, Taylor PD said.
Four people were also found dead Tuesday in Taylor in an apparent murder-suicide. Police have not said if the two incidents are linked.
Further details were not immediately available.
