EE - A random theory

Spoilers for the week running up to Christmas and Christmas week suggest that Whitney starts becoming suspicious about Gray.

I'm wondering if Shona might have quit EastEnders to focus on her music career, and if so, I think she will be killed off.

There's no actual evidence to support this theory, just a random feeling that I have.

I hope not I’ll be so pi$$ed if Lauren’s two best friends and her so sister die but she somehow escaped it all

I think Whitney will be the one who uncovers him, Gray has already killed 3 people and the story has gone on for long enough. Also, she’s been thinking about a music career for near enough about a decade now. I think she will stay on EE

Plus with Tiff leaving soon, doubt she’d go as her sister is dying

I think it's always been hinted at that Whitney would be the one to bring Gray down. I can't see Shona leaving the show just now thou.

I think there will be a some sort of "shock" death over Christmas, it just depends if its Gray or the rumoured bomb plot that will cause it.

I think Whitney deserves a happy ending, away from men!

I agree there'll be a shock death this Christmas. I'm thinking maybe Ash. Suki made a throwaway remark to her about dying, and she's been having a lot of trouble lately.

I don't think Whitney will be killed off. It's more likely to be Gray, let's face it. I really do hope that he isn't killed off and instead faces justice.

I don't really want anyone to die this Christmas, it makes everything so drearily miserable and we've had enough pointless deaths lately.

I hope not. The girl who plays her is a decent actress. And she’s one of the few characters who actually has some morals.

Naa, I reckon she'll die early Jan. I don't think they'll be any death at Christmas.

But they are hardly gonna say they are killing her off if its a surprise, and im sure soaps have killed people who they said they left for door open for

That's true, but I'm not sure they will kill her off. If they did, how would they explain Ricky and Bianca not returning? Patsy is unlikely to return as she lives in Malibu, unless they do an offscreen funeral.

I mean this is soap, they usually have the most important people miss funerals

I’d rather they stopped killing characters off. It’s shown to be a big waste in the past (Abi, Steven, Shakil etc) why do we need to kill of another young character (Dana or Tiffany?)

Give the girl a happy ending. It's been one long parade of relentless misery and grief. Do something no soap has ever done with a departing character - no hearse, no black cab, no sad walk up the tube station steps.

Maybe a visiting ship carries the battle scarred soul up the Thames as she entertains the crew and viewers with a classic karaoke cover, on the way to her new life...

Tiff leaves Week Commencing 13th December, so almost certainly she leaves alive and goes back to Germany with Liam, spoilers seem to hint that Keegan may go with her though

Liam can just go to live and work in Germany, because he would've been registered there as a resident. Tiffany would now have to formally apply to do so. Plying your trade for a few years in Germany, moving in with an uncle in Italy, buying a bar in Spain, retiring to Portugal - those are no longer viable options for most British people.

She could certainly try moving to an EU country, along with Canada, Australia, or the USA, or anywhere else - but they tend to train enough beauticians of their own, so the answer might well be no. No formal qualifications, no language skills, no money, no job offer - it's very likely to be a no. Tiff might have to try her luck in Torquay.

I mean, why not? Max has lost two kids, Ian has lost two kids, Carmel has lost two kids, so it's only fair that Suki loses two of her offspring within a short space of time.....

I sincerely hope they don't kill Ash as it just beggars belief the death rate in this show, and the fact that it attacks the same families time and time again. If they are serious about this terrorist plot, I suppose someone dying is highly likely, but make it an isolated character, or someone OLD. So sick of young people kicking the bucket all the damn time!

This! She's a lovely young woman and as you say, played by a good actress. They don't need to kill her off at all. It's just gruesome, even the prospect. What is happening to this show?! I mean that even if they don't kill her off..... I just hate the fact that I would put NOTHING past them. There are no lows they will not sink to these days.

Fingers crossed! Tiffany is a much needed character whose current run may have comfortably come to an end but would always be a welcome presence at some point in the future. These producers/writers should be working to preserve their cast, regardless of whether the actor wants out for the time being. The character *can* still exist outside the Square and returnees are more and more likely the longer a soap is on air.
I’d rather they stopped killing characters off. It’s shown to be a big waste in the past (Abi, Steven, Shakil etc) why do we need to kill of another young character (Dana or Tiffany?)

I reiterate once more..... they absolutely do need to stop killing characters off. Certainly just for the sake of it, or purely because an actor is leaving. I don't mind a character dying FOR GOOD REASON. If it's absolutely integral to the story, if the character is old, if the death of a character sets in motion a sequence of events for many other characters, or serves a purpose for the narrative direction of the show in the aftermath of their death..... it makes sense then. But not just for ONE episode just to get a "dramatic" doof doof.

It's the petty nastiness behind the killing that really sticks in the throat. Ask for some time away, have to act out dying of cancer. Raise a question about the direction of your character, die alone in a blizzard on Christmas Day. Wank on a webcam, get murdered for the second time. Want to record an album, find out there's no open door for you via Radio 1 (the irony of that can only be a deliberate knife twist). Needed in one of the producers other soaps, get pushed in front of a train. Don't return when asked because you don't want to or you are busy, die offscreen in Florida or South Africa.

It's insulting to viewers to put up with characters dying, often brutally or alone, simply because EE have decided the actor needs punishment.

With Ricky and Carol also residing in Germany, could it be somewhat easier for Tiffany compared to other residents? Obviously nowhere near as easy as it was when we were in the EU although can we assume Tiffany may have a better chance than most?

You may be right, and only because her father lives there...

Liam might need to be careful too. I'm not sure there is much call in Germany for a monolingual car thief who disappears for months at a time. This is the relevant German government page...

    https://www.bmi.bund.de/SharedDocs/faqs/EN/topics/constitution/brexit/faqs-brexit.html

When do I lose my right of residence?
The main reason why you could lose your right of residence is that you reside outside Germany for too long:

If or as soon as you have a right of permanent residence, you can reside outside Germany for up to five years without losing your right of residence.
In all other cases, the following applies: if you reside outside Germany for more than six months (in exceptional cases, for more than 12 months), you lose your right of residence under the Withdrawal Agreement. In this case, the rules on "harmless" absences apply.
Caution: in both cases, periods of absence before and after 31 December 2020 are added together!
Loss of your right of residence is also possible if you no longer fulfil the requirements for it: for example if you do not yet have a right of permanent residence, if you lose your job, if you have not found a new job within six months, if there is no reasonable prospect that you will find a job in Germany and if you do not have sufficient resources to support yourself.

Termination of residence is also possible if you commit a crime.

If you have lost your right of residence under the Withdrawal Agreement, you cannot regain it.
