Lincoln announced today that the 2022 Aviator SUV will get a new “Jet Appearance Package” that adds high-gloss black accents to the exterior of the vehicle.

Building on the success of the Monochromatic Reserve Package, it replaces all chrome accents with gloss black design elements, bringing the SUV much more on-trend.

“Jet Package offers a clean, dramatic look that accentuates the presence of Aviator on the road,” said Earl Lucas, Lincoln exterior chief designer. “The black accents emphasize the strong lines and sleek look of the exterior design.”

Specifically, the package adds 22-inch black-painted wheels, a blacked-out grille, black skull caps, roof rails, and lower fascia. The lower cladding and wheel lip moldings, meanwhile are painted the same color as the body.

Offered in Pristine White, Infinite Black, Silver Radiance, and Burgundy Velvet, the black trim should coordinate well with whatever hue you choose. It will be available early next year on the Aviator Reserve series.

Prices for the 2022 Aviator Reserve start at $57,355 and it gets a 360-degree camera, a Revel 14-speaker audio system, and premium leather micro-perforated seating surfaces for the first and second row, among other things.

It is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that makes 400 hp (405 PS/298 kW) and 415 lb-ft (562 Nm) of torque. It’s hooked up to a 10-speed automatic transmission and can be had in RWD or AWD.
