Say what you will about Disney's Star Wars sequels but the first installment in the divisive trilogy, Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens can definitely be considered the "lesser evil" of the three films. To some, Episode VII may have ended up looking like a weak attempt at recreating A New Hope's magic but it was still a pretty solid watch overall and gave fans arguably one of the most hair-raising moments in Star Wars history with the return of Luke Skywalker.

Mark Hamill didn't do much in the scene but his minimal acting was enough to send shivers down every fan's spine. The epic sequence even reminded one fan of actors Alec Guinness, Ewan McGregor, and Liam Neeson. On Twitter, author Damon Young asked Hamill if the way he acted out his cameo appearance was intentional to echo the movements of his co-actors.

According to Hamill, nobody instructed him on how to do the Luke Skywalker reveal but he did admit that he was influenced by Alec's first appearance in the original Star Wars film and now that he mentioned it, it definitely shows. He explains: "Nobody told me how to do it specifically. I just wanted to maximize the moment & heighten the inherent drama of the reveal. I was, however, clearly influenced by Alec's first appearance in the original film."

We don't know for sure what the future holds for Mark Hamill in the Star Wars franchise but with rumors of a tenth film being in the works over at Lucasfilm, there's a huge possibility that we could end up seeing the return of Force Ghost Luke and quite frankly, I wouldn't mind that at all.
