The Greater Boston area has no shortage of holiday-themed live events this year and between all the observances, performances, and lightings, this holiday season feels closer to normal than we’ve had in close to two years.

Experts continue to urge anyone eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine and booster shot, especially as we learn more about how the new omicron variant will impact pandemic recovery plans.

Holiday shows are back on in Greater Boston, with everything from “The Nutcracker” at the Opera House to a Hanukkah concert at City Winery. And as exciting as it is to try out new events before the end of the season, for many of us the best part about this time of year are the events that have become a holiday tradition.
