More FedEx packages have been found dumped on an Alabama roadside.
This time the discovery was made Wednesday morning in Chilton County.
Jemison Police Chief Shane Fulmer said 20 or more packages were tossed alongside County Road 166.
The packages, he said, include shipping addresses on County Roads 166, 48, 51, 164, 42, 29, 43, 936, and North Dakota Road.
The discovery comes just one week after hundreds of FedEx packages were found in a Blount County ravine.
Fulmer said it appears the packages came out of the Bessemer terminal. He said they are in contact with FedEx.
“We’re going to try to do are part in helping the customers get their packages,’’ Fulmer said.
“I know leading up to the holidays a lot of people are waiting on packages to come in and having a hard enough time as it is with the supply chain, and here we’ve got packages that should be at people’s homes that get thrown off into the woods for some reason.”
FedEx on Wednesday asked that customers visit its website if they have questions or concerns.
“We are appalled to learn of this incident and can confirm that efforts are immediately underway to retrieve and deliver the packages to their intended recipients,” a company statement read.
“We will continue to cooperate fully with law enforcement during their investigation, including any criminal prosecution of, or civil action against, the individuals responsible.”
