Hamilton based skate punk band Motion Sickness have released a reworked cover of "Doom Boy" by The Dirty Nil. Their version is called "Doom Girl" and appears to be a standalone single. Motion Sickness released their album Isolate in 2020. Check out the song below.

In 2020, Classics of Love released World of Burning Hate its first new music in eight years. At the time, there were talks of a vinyl release, but it has been relatively quiet since then. Well, finally, we now know there will be a vinyl pressing of the record, out via Asian Man Records. AMR head Mike Park took to instagram to show a test press of the new record, which will have six tracks on one side and an etching on the other. Park suggested that the release will be out in roughly six months. You can see the post below.
Proper have announced that they will be releasing a new album. The album is called The Great American Novel and will be out digitally on March 25 and physically on April 29 via Big Scary Monsters and Father/Daughter Records. The album was produced by Bartees Strange. The band have also released a video for their new single "Milk and Honey" that was directed by vocalist Erik Garlington. The song features Jer Hunter of Skatune Network/We Are the Union on horns and backing vocals by Lily Mastrodimos of Long Neck. The split features a new song by Death Valley Girls called "When I'm Free" and a cover of Death Valley Girls' "The Universe" by Le Butcherettes. Physical copies will be out February 11 via Suicide Squeeze Records. Death Valley Girls released Under the Spell of Joy in 2020. Heart vocalist Ann Wilson performed her cover of "Rooster" by Alice In Chains at the Museum Of Pop Culture (MoPOP) Founders Award in December 2020. Filmmaker Bryan Davis has released a short documentary about the closing of Inner Ear Studio's long running location in Arlington, Virginia. The nine minute feature is constructed from an interview with studio owner/operator Don Zientara. Austrian Metallic hardcore band Implore will release a new single, "The Burden of Existence" on January 19th. The single will be out via Church Road Records. The band spoke about the track: "The Burden of Existence is the agonizing tale of enduring life, with its different stages and consequences. At times the beauty of nature is enough to justify the principle of universal finality." The band previously released two albums on Century and are expected to release an album on Church Road after the single.
