You may be already taking down rivals with your plasma sword and sticky grenades in the Halo Infinite multiplayer that dropped mid-November, and now the full game and campaign is set to release on December 8 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
Master Chief is back to stomp out and gun down his most ruthless enemies yet, as you take control of the famous hero once more to explore a massively-scaled Halo ring which you navigate at your leisure while tackling main quests, side missions and hidden tasks.
If you stray from the main path you may discover secrets that reward you with powerful weapons and equipment, which you can use alongside your classic Halo staples like the Battle Rifle, Assault Rifle and Needler, with new additions like the Commando and Skewer to use on old and new foes in the epic story.
It wouldn't be Halo if you couldn't dropkick an alien out of a Ghost and speed away, and luckily it's back with other classic vehicles like the Warthog and many more – these will be scattered throughout the sandbox so you can approach encounters in a large number of ways depending on your play style.
Of course, if you're not already playing, the Halo Infinite multiplayer is out now and is free-to-play – completing various objectives in the campaign will give you various unlocks for multiplayer too. At launch the campaign will be single-player only, but co-op is coming early 2022, along with a Forge mode coming next year as well.
Halo Infinite is only available on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and PC – thanks to Xbox Smart Delivery, Halo Infinite will work on any current console and will automatically update to the best version, it will even transfer your saves if you move from Xbox One to Xbox Series X in the future.
