Marvel’s Avengers New Update Now Live, Brings Klaw Raid and PlayStation Exclusive Spider-Man

The new update for Marvel’s Avengers is now live, adding a new raid and PlayStation exclusive hero Spider-Man. Along with the new character and content, developer Square Enix also looked into some of the older systems and adjusted them with updates to Gear, power level, and the addition of Shipments, a new way to earn cosmetics.

Shipments provide a new path paved with cosmetics, resources, and other items through gameplay. Each shipment with be worth 500 Units, the currency earned throughout the game and pulls from over 250 possible items. Hope luck is on your side as there is a small chance you can get a premium outfit. Which you cannot get where else before you are guaranteed to get one after claiming 100 shipments.

The Power Level has been raised from the max level of 150 to 175. So get to grinding the toughest challenge to get the best gear. The toughest challenge is the newest raid so no speed runs of the level yet. Higher power level gear can now be recycled to upgrade current gear to match the higher-power level of the consumed item, with a few exceptions.

The raid, Discordant Sound, will test even the most skilled gamers. Requiring advanced tactics with full cooperation among your four-player team and the highest-end gear. For an easy run through the raid, you can always play it on Normal but do not expect the gear that comes with beating it on Elite.

Peter Parker, AKA Spider-Man comes swinging into the Avengers ready to take down new deadly threat AIM from acquiring the technology needed to make their synthoid army stronger and faster, virtually unstoppable. Teaming up with Ms. Marvel and Black Widow will be a bit of a challenge as Peter is used to working alone, so expect some struggles being in a team. Will he turn this work into full-time with the Avengers or with he stay the lone wolf he is?

Players will experience Spider-Man’s narrative in Marvel’s Avengers through unlockable challenges. Completing these challenges unlocks audio logs that reveal the story.

Video games let you get away with crimes and actions you should never dream of doing in real life. If I am not playing video games, I am watching LSU, Saints, and cheering for #18 Kyle Busch in NASCAR.
