Utelogy Announces Hardware, Software Integration With Microsoft Teams Rooms

Published: 2021-12-01

AV control platform provider Utelogy Corp. has announced an integration with its U-Computer Platform with Windows-based Microsoft Teams Rooms devices for monitoring, management and control.

The hardware and software integration is designed to deliver actionable intelligence to the workplace as organizations adopt a hybrid work strategy that will leverage unified communication and collaboration solutions like Teams.

According to Utelogy, IT departments need solutions that meet the expectations of employees returning to the office that were able to seamlessly connect with one another through Teams and similar platforms during remote work. At the same time, those staying remote demand equal experiences to those on site.

In addition to hardware support, Utelogy supports the Microsoft Teams UC soft codec, and the platform monitors the status of peripheral devices, connections, calls in progress, presence and more. Teams can gather detailed analytics on Microsoft Teams Rooms from the Utelogy platform to improve uptime and help make informed decisions about improving productivity.

According to Utelogy, the platform’s expanded management and monitoring capabilities include real-time data and monitoring of these Windows-based Microsoft Teams Rooms devices:

  • Lenovo ThinkSmart Hub 500
  • Poly Studio X series
  • HP Slice
  • Logitech Tap (with NUC PC)
  • Yealink MVC
  • Crestron Flex/UC Engine

The company says the integration delivers a range of benefits, including reduced operational costs, automated room-ready tests and increased proactive service management. This is designed to allow organizations to easily troubleshoot and resolve device errors, receive instant alert notifications about system health and create better experiences.

In a statement, Utelogy President Frank Pellkofer said online collaboration and videoconferencing are permanent realities in the workplace, and organizations are now looking for new ways to make their employees’ online experiences as seamless and productive as possible.

“The Utelogy platform addresses many of the issues MTR users can face, including authentication and sign-in errors or device connection problems,” he said. “MTR integration coupled with Utelogy’s Analytic Tiles, offers customers a deeper level of insight into their AV/UC estate to help make data-driven decisions about improving productivity and boosting overall efficiency.”
