How to Watch the Teatro alla Scala’s Opening Night ‘Macbeth’

The Teatro alla Scala will broadcast its opening night production of Verdi’s “Macbeth” on Rai Cultura.

Rai will first showcase the production on Rai1 at 7:45. The production, which will be directed by Arnalda Canali, will be transmitted on Radio3, Rai1 HD canale 501, and on RaiPlay, where it will be available for 15 days after the opening.

Rai Com will also distribute the opera in cinemas in 30 Italian cinemas as well as in Spain, Norway, Finland, Switzerland, Poland, Holland, and Great Britain. The opera will also be shown at a later date in Australia, South America, Belgium, France, and Russia.

Audiences around the world will also be able to see it on television on Arte (France), ZDF (Germany), RPT (Portugal), RSI (Switzerland), CESKA TELEVIZE (Czech Republic), ACTION 24 (Greece), and MTVA (Hungary). There will also be a TV transmission in Japan on NHK, in Kora on IL MEDIA, and in Russia on TV Kultura. It will also be streamed on Medici.tv for subscribers.

The premiere is also set to be released on DVD in 2022.

“Macbeth” is set to star Luca Salsi, Anna Netrebko, Francesco Meli, and Ildar Abdrazakov. Riccardo Chailly will conduct the production by Davide Livermore.
